Keeping Your Glitter Glass Pipe Clean For Better Enjoyment

When you smoke using a glass pipe, the heat of the flame can take away from the smoothness of the hit. Fortunately, you have the option of upgrading your standard glass pipe to a glitter glass pipe. This type of pipe is filled with water and glitter. You can place it in the freezer to freeze the water and as you hit it, the smoke is cooled as it moves through the chamber to your mouth. This gives you the enjoyment of the smoke without the heat.

Keep Pipe Cleaners on Hand
The best way to keep the best flavor flowing through your glitter glass pipe is to keep it clean between uses. This is accomplished by using a pipe cleaner after each smoke session. Just run the pipe cleaner through it and it will pull a lot of the resin out with it—just do it before the resin has a chance to cool or it will become thicker and harder to remove.
Tip: If you don't clean the chamber, at least clean the bowl part each time. This will lessen the buildup and ensure that each hit tastes as good as the first.
Buy 90% Rubbing Alcohol
If you have a few hours in which the pipe will not be used, pour some rubbing alcohol into a bowl large enough to cover the pipe. Gently place the pipe in the alcohol and let it sit for a few hours or longer if it's been awhile since you've cleaned it.
Now, run the pipe cleaner through it—if the resin doesn't easily come off, place it back in the alcohol and wait a little while longer. Eventually, the resin will soften so much that it will wipe right out of the pipe without any problem.
Do Not Boil Glitter Glass Pipes
Traditional solid glass pipes can be boiled to be cleaned. This is not recommended for glitter glass pipes. Boiling these pieces for too long can cause them to fracture, allowing the glitter-filled water to leak out. If you have no options but to boil it, bring the water to a boil and turn it off, gently place the pipe into the water, and let the pipe sit for a little while. This will soften the resin without superheating the pipe and causing it to break.
